About Us
Situated in the heart of Stamford, on the border of Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, Rutland, and Northamptonshire, our independent, two-site practice has been proudly serving the local community since 1851. What we’re offering…
We’re looking for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our close-knit team. Here’s what you can expect:
Your Role
- Clinical Freedom: Enjoy autonomy in your consultations and surgeries, with full support from experienced colleagues.
- Supportive Scheduling: 15-minute consults ensure quality client care, with extended time allocated for complex or sensitive cases.
- Protected Breaks: A 1-hour lunch break every day—no interruptions!
- Flexible Hours: Full-time, permanent position preferred, but we’re open to discussing your needs.
Your Schedule
- Weekdays: 8:15 am – 6:00 pm, with dedicated time for paperwork and case development.
- Saturdays: Short Day Saturday consults (8:30 am – 11:00 am, 2:30 pm – 4:30pm) on a rota basis.
- Thursday off before a Saturday worked!

- Antech in-house analysers and NEW Zoetis Imagyst for cytology + NEW HT Vista
- Lupa PMS system – the most advanced PMS available includes AI dictation transcription software which writes your notes for you! All you have to do is check and amend it. AI technology searches your notes for queries you have so no need for endless scrolling – just ask Jerry (the cute AI mouse helper) !
- Digital X-ray, ultrasonography and endoscopy
- Operating microscope available and separate dental suite
- Class 4 K-Laser, sevoflurane anaesthesia throughout, Cardell monitoring equipment including capnography and active patient warmers
